Verify the licences independently

Florida licences, both verifiable in the state's public DBPR licence search: CBC059592 Certified Building Contractor and CCC1327217 Certified Roofing Contractor.

Both numbers sit in Florida's public DBPR register, searchable by anyone in under a minute. A credential you cannot check is a claim, not a credential — so check them rather than taking the list on trust.

The register also shows status and expiry, which is the part most directories omit. An expired licence and a current one look identical on a website footer.

What the system is asked to prove

The test I hold my own platform to is a simple one: could a regulator ask what was promised to a homeowner, on what date, and with what consent — and could I answer with a record rather than a recollection.

That is not a hypothetical standard. Florida's contact rules carry per-violation penalties, and the defence is documentation. So consent, timestamps and the exact text a person agreed to are stored as evidence, not as log lines that roll off after a month.

Why I publish measurement dates

Every figure on this site carries the date it was measured. Numbers without one are marketing — they were true once, and there is no way to tell how long ago.

When a figure changes, the date changes with it. That is a small discipline and it is the difference between a claim you can audit and a claim you have to believe.
